Near-Sighted or Far-Sighted, Sunglasses Should be in Your Sights

Making sure your child has accurate and comfortable – not to mention un-bent and un-shattered – prescription glasses can get expensive, so you may not have wanted to spring for sunglasses at the eye doctor’s office. However, it’s very important that you make sure your child’s eyes are protected from harmful UV spectrum sun rays. Kids who are wearing regular prescription lenses may be even more prone to eye damage caused by the sun since they’re not likely to swap their prescription glasses for a pair of sunglasses.

If your child has prescription glasses, he or she probably doesn’t wear sunglasses all that often because if they were to switch out their prescription glasses for a pair of sunnies from the drugstore, they would have a hard time seeing! Plus, it’s not good for your kid’s eyes to swap back and forth between prescription glasses and ones with no prescription, notes the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Stabismus as it can cause the eyes to feel strained and tired.

Taking into consideration the serious damage that the sun can do to your kids eyes – even if they’re hiding behind prescription eyeglasses – at Real Kids Shades, we urge you to consider getting a pair of prescription sunglasses for your child. They’re not as expensive as you might think, and the benefits far outweigh the costs.

Our line of cool shades for the 7+ crowd offers your son or daughter a few different options for prescription Kids Cool Sunglassessunglasses. Our glasses are shatterproof, bendable and flexible, which means they’re basically unbreakable. These will be great for your kids to wear whether they’re running around outside in the spring and summer, at sports practice or chilling on the beach.

We know that keeping your kid in eyeglasses can get expensive, but it’s so important to protect their eyes from the sun. Plus, our virtually unbreakable prescription sunglasses can act as a shield from outdoor play accidents, so if you’re kid’s wearing our shades, he’ll be extra protected from the sun, and from fly balls.

Can I get a pair of sunglasses w/o a prescription? My last prescription is couple of years old, but I want same prescription lense which was “plus 100”. I don’t need another eye exam. I know I can buy off the rack bifocals, but I want a full lense of “plus 100”
