Prevent Blindness America (PBA) has revealed the state winners for its 2013 Most Beautiful Eyes Contest. The Most Beautiful Eyes Contest is an annual competition designed to emphasize the importance of eye health for children. It was tough for voters to choose their favorite pair of beautiful eyes with so many great entries of gorgeous eyes, but the field has been narrowed down to the state winners, and you can check out the pictures of those winners on the PBA website.
Each of the state winners will receive a pair of Real Kids Shades sunglasses and a copy of Beth Kobliner Shaw and Jacob Shaw’s new book, “Jacob’s Eye Patch.” They will also be entered into the national contest, where the overall winner will receive an educational scholarship worth $10,000 from Marchon Eyewear.
The winner will spend the weekend in Chicago, along with two family members. They will attend the Prevent Blindness America Annual Awards Banquet where the winner will be presented with their scholarship. The national winner will be determined by a panel of celebrity judges, which includes Curt Menefee, the host of Fox NFL Sunday; actress Barbara Eden; Larry King, from ORA-TV; and financial journalist and co-author of “Jacob’s Eye Patch,” Beth Kobliner Shaw.
Real Kids Shades would like to wish good luck to all the state winners! We can’t wait to see which child will win!
